Podcast: Play in new window
Enjoy a quick profile of two Dallas poets, Opalina and Gayle Bell. The interviews and readings took place at Suenos Sabrosos in the Oak Cliff area.
Some notes on the podcast: (1) The poems are being read with the mike behind the readers, so as to not obstruct the readers or take up their room, (2) apologies if I slightly screwed up the name of the ice cream shop (I’m self-conscious while still working out my spanish pronunciations–it’s a necessary thing) and (3) the name of Opalina’s poem is actually called “Busted Headlight”. With that said, enjoy and let me know what you think. It’s about 14 1/2 minutes long.
