Weekend in Austin @ SXSW, OR interactions while @ Interactive
I spent some time in Austin this past weekend and attended the SXSW Interactive Conference. Along with sharing some tunes (courtesy of AC Coleman and Santiago Vazquez, respectively), I discuss everything from the (horrible) hotel I stayed in, interesting panels (including thoughts on the 2nd edition of “Blogging While Black”), and a phat-ass concert I attended Sunday night at the Austin Music Hall featuring Erykah Badu, Wendy and Lisa, and Doyle Bramhall II.
Two corrections/show notes: The artist I saw at Ruta Maya Coffeehouse was DaShade, not Dewayne, and Tiffany Brown was the panelist behind the URL, blackfeminism.org. Also, there was a panel called “Podcasting 2.0″ that happened Saturday morning, however I swear did not see it the schedule. Oh, well…..you can hear more SXSW panel podcasts here.
I’m going to be playing this on the plane going back home to the ATL and i’m pretty sure I’ll be absolutely ILL when I hear how good that concert was!
