Great post! I really like Asia Cruise. I’m not big on the texting myself – seems juvenile – Call or email me please. I use IM to communicate with my coworkers (we all work remotely) but only with a couple of folks on a personal level.
Thanks for listening in. Yeah, I agree IM works with close friends, but even then I’ll take a phone call if the conversation gets really serious.
I’m really digging Asia. I’m sure we’ll hear more from her years to come! She sounds like she’s about 10 years old. LOL
I completely feel you about IM. My ex uses this as her social outlet. She gets so tied up in these people and their dramas. I have never been a fan of IM because its not a replacement for meeting people you that may or may not become friends with. For me there is no heart or soul connection.
I just recently got into the whole texting thing and it’s ok. I still love that one on one contact or phone call but let’s face it, our lives are getting busier and sometimes I only have time to send you a text because I can’t talk on the phone let’s say like if I’m in the middle of a meeting and something comes up where I need to be in two places overseeing something. The next best thing is text for me. Then there are sometimes when I don’t have to have a long conversation with you, just need to get you the info and go. Perfect way to do that is text…..LOL.
