Well, sounds like I wasn’t the only one bemoaning the absence of a scene like Brooklyn’s in the Bishop Arts District. The newly-dubbed Bishop Arts Theater Center, at 215 South Tyler Street in Dallas, will be hosting the Southwest Airlines Jazz Series, hosted by none other than fellow Oak Cliff dweller and host of the syndicated television series, Smooth Jazz TV, Cameron Smith. Season tickets to the 170-seat venue should go fast, however I do wonder where in the world they plan on people parking for these shows (and how soon before nearby shows complain about the parking).
