This is a note from my good friend, Gayle Bell:
There is this very thoughtful book by Walter Mosley called “The Right Mistake” that was spellbinding and raised some very deep questions. I wanted to throw this out to see if anyone would be interested in a ‘Thinkers Meeting’.
The role of this group would be to try to provide a place, in the words of Mosley’s character, “where people could come and take themselves seriously, a place where there was good food and good company and where the only question is what can I do.” The “do” (or action) he was referring to was to take on the problems this world has that we sometimes shake or heads or feel overwhelmed about, but we know in our bones that something has to be done.
