Venton Jones has been involved with community building and HIV education/prevention in Dallas since before I first interviewed him in 2007. Now, along with his work, I learned via Twitter that Venton is bringing the video cam to show you more of what he sees around Dallas. Introducing his new YouTube channel: The Jones Files. Here’s a sample of what you’ll find so far.

Thanks for getting the word out JW about The Jones Files. Adding more files soon. The mini ball was the easy to upload (no editing) and a GREAT start for the channel. I think it is very interesting to look at the Ball as a way to bridge some of the generational gaps in the community. With all the new dances and things people are doing in the clubs, the ball scene has been a pillar in the GLBT community and spreads across the generational lines.
I will also bring video from other parts of the community (i.e. social events, educational programs) and more from Dallas’ GLBT nightlife. If there is something you or your readers what to see, let me know. Thank you again and have a great week!
