Podcast: Play in new window
During my recent trip to Wimberly, TX, for ALLGO’s 2nd Statewide Summit for Queer People of Color, I had a chance to speak with one of the founders of the organization, Saul Gonzalez takes me back to 1982 and how his efforts in local political activism came to form ALLGO in concert with other activists. You’ll also hear about some important firsts for this LGBT organization in Texas.
ALLGO was recently honored in Austin’s Pride parade on June 6, 2009 for beginning their 25th year of service in Austin, TX, and Saul marched in the honorary float for ALLGO, along with Maria Limon.
