Podcast: Play in new window
Hope your Monday going good so far, and if not, here’s hoping this mix will pick you up! This week’s show begins with a contemporary jazz number by keyboardist, Dan Seigel, and a track called, “Just Like That”. Blending some electronics in the jazz mix, next up is Finnish nu-jazz outfit, Quintessence, with a nice groove called, “The 30th Hour”. Then the band gets real big and classic as The John LaBarbera Big Band serves up a hot version of the Miles Davis’ classic, “So What?”.
In the spirit of covering the classic, Canadian-based Indigone Trio & Strings reinterprets Stevie Wonder’s, “Visions”, and guitarist/vocalist, Leonard Patton closes out today’s mixtape with the track, “Where You Are”. Again, you can vote for your favorite tracks here on today’s website poll (under the tags in the right sidebar), and take a look at the first comment for this post to these .mp3 files in their entirety and more info about their CDs (excluding Leonard Patton), courtesy of IODA Promonet.
