Tonight, dig out those books of queer poetry and come prepared to share and we spin our last Queerly Speaking for 2009 at Backbeat Cafe & Listening Room at 300 N. Akard in downtown Dallas. Remember, all three DART Rail Lines come to Akard Station, which is your stop for the venue. Downtown meter parking is only free after 6:00pm. Performer sign-up is open at 8pm. Show starts at 9pm.
Saturday night, KNON’s weekly gay variety show, Lambda Weekly, is bringing a fun-tastic underwear auction and raffle at Woody’s Video and Sports Bar, 4011 Cedar Springs Road in Dallas. The fun starts at 7pm.
Sunday, it’s the Queer Film Series hosted by South Dallas Cultural Center, Fahari Arts Institute, Q-Roc.TV, and D/FW Senators. We’re screening the Thomas Allan Harris documentary, “VINTAGE: Families of Value”. Great talkback with local gay siblings afterwards. Screening begins at 6:30pm and there is a $5 admission.
